English Abstract

Four cultivars of grapevine: Taifi, Bedank, Rashmiree wazha and Sadani were chosen in two locations from Shar-Bazher and Kanipanka vineyards: during growing season of 2018 to investigate the differences of vegetative growth, berries’ quality, clusters and chemical characteristics.

The chosen vines were 17 years old and irrigated by drip irrigation system.

Results indicated that were differences among locations and cultivars regarding the treats under taken in this study, Shar Bazher location superior in term of total chlorophyll content, leaf fresh and leaf dry weight, shoot length of grapevines and cluster weight, number of berries per cluster, size and weight of 100 berries of grapes.

According to the difference among varieties; Bedank, Rashmiree wazha and Sadani gave the highest vegetative growth characteristics, Taifi and Rashmiree wazha varieties significantly superior other varieties regarding berries quality and cluster characteristics.

Bedank gave the maximum value of total sugar, Tatifi and Bedank gave the best results for chemical characteristics.

The combination between locations and varieties significantly affected on the traits undertaken in this study, since the combination of Shar-bazher + Sadani gave the maximum values for leaf area, total chlorophyll, leaf fresh weight, leaf dry weight and shoot length.

The highest significant number of berry per cluster, size and volume of 100 berries and berry length were obtained from the interaction between Taifi grown at Shar-bazher Location.

The highest total sugar was obtained from the interaction between Bedank grown at Kanipanka.
