The purpose of this research is to reveal the reality of government secondary schools' practice of its role in promoting and enhancing the digital citizenship of its students, and the obstacles that limit the school's role in promoting digital citizenship among female students and to find appropriate proposals to overcome these obstacles.

The research used the survey descriptive approach, and also used the questionnaire as a tool, The study population was formed from the female leaders and teachers of government secondary schools in Shaqra Governorate.

The study sample consisted of a random sample of (316), including (138) female leaders, (178) female teachers.

The study reached a set of results, the most prominent of which are the following: that school female leaders and teachers see that digital citizenship is practiced at a moderate level in government secondary schools in Shaqra Governorate, as it was found that school female leaders agree to some extent to the obstacles that limit the practice of government secondary schools for its role in promoting digital citizenship for its students, while the results revealed that the female leaders and teachers agree on proposals to activate the role of Saudi secondary schools in promoting digital citizenship for their students.

In light of these results, the research recommended: Providing capabilities and technologies in the school environment by designing a website for the school that includes all the activities of the educational process, and revealing its efforts to the community.
