The aim of the research is to identify some problems that hinder the development of the professional competencies of public secondary education principals and the requirements to face them, and the research used the descriptive approach, and the questionnaire was applied to a sample of (446) teachers and principals of public secondary education schools in Dakahlia governorate, and the research reached a set of problems, most notably School administration lacks the ability to achieve school goals, lack of delegation, bureaucracy, complexity of procedures.
