Abstract EN

The purpose of the research is to try to identify the role of private universities in community service by presenting the conceptual framework of private universities and the functions assigned to them, and to identify the reality of the third position of four private universities (October 6, GUC, BUE, Delta Science and Technology) and identify the obstacles that prevent the achievement of the third position in Egyptian universities.

The research used the descriptive method and the study tool was a questionnaire.

The study reached;
1.

Private universities focus on the profit side.

2.

Lack of cooperation between public and private universities.

3.

Lack of communication between the university and the productive institutions.

4.

The university does not employ its graduates.
