Abstract EN

The importance of the exchange rate and the consequent economic impact on most productive sectors has been chosen as the title of this study, an attempt to shed light on the exchange rate in Iraq and study the economic developments that took place during the study period and determine the impact of these developments in the exchange system and then reach results To contribute to assessing the appropriateness of this system to the circumstances of Iraq and the nature of its economy.

The research found a number of conclusions.

The most important of which is that the foreign exchange rate is of great importance by linking the local economy to the global economy because the exchange rate is considered as the reflective woman of the country's business center with the outside world through the relationship between imports and exports.

All the variables of the study were stable at the first difference (1)~I, which allowed us to use the JOH model to test Johansen among those variables.
