Abstract EN

Monolithic Fe2O3-Al2O3 composite aerogels have been prepared successfully via organic solvent sublimation drying method.

The results show that a new phase forms when the right amount of ferric oxide is added to the alumina aerogel.

From the TEM pictures we can see a shuttle-type structure with the length of about 15 nm forms, which leads to the high surface areas of composited aerogel.
