This study analyzes the characteristics of hybrid propulsion shafting and builds mathematical models and vibration equations of shafting using the lumped parameter method.
Main focus is on the asymmetric double diesel propulsion shafting operation process and the impact of the phase angle and motor excitation on torsional vibration of shafting.
Model result is validated by testing results conducted on double diesel propulsion shafting bench.
Mathematical model and model-building methods of shafting are correct.
