One of the problems encountered during galvanizing reactive steel is the thickness of the zinc layer.

The aim of this paper is to highlight the role played by physical parameters, such as the immersion time and the temperature of the molten zinc, in controlling the growth of Fe / Zn phases during hot-dip galvanizing of high silicon-steels.

More attention was given to the effect of withdrawal speed.

Our results showed that the galvanized products could be affected considerably by varying these physical parameters even when the galvanizing bath contains pure zinc.
