Abstract AR

This study aimed to identify the constituents of the implementation of Balanced Scorecard in the University of Omar Al-Mukhtar.

To achieve this objective, researchers designed a questionnaire that was distributed to the study sample which consists of members of the University Council, the heads of academic departments, and the heads of departments and offices in the administration of the university and its colleges.

The study is prepared based on a descriptive analytical approach, and the collected data was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS).

The study finds that the vision, the mission and the objectives of Omar Al-Mukhtar University are consistent with the dimensions of the Balanced Scorecard, and the University has the necessary components to make a success of implementation of Balanced Scorecard.

The findings indicate that the University seeks to improve the quality of its educational services by responding to students’ complaints, increasing the efficiency of internal processes and enhancing the quality of administrative services.

The study recommends, therefore, that the University shall hold the necessary courses in order to promote the concept of Balanced Scorecard and train the university employees on how to implement it effectively
