Abstract EN

In this research, we try to investigate the features of satire in the literature and criticism of Mustafa Sadiq Al-Rafei.

How he relied on such a literary device and chose it as a strategy to criticize rivals with whom he had literary and critical debates, such as: Taha Hussein and Al-Aqad.

It is worth mentioning that Al-Rafei’s plan in his criticism has multiple methods; sometimes he discusses the idea in details and shows the mistakes in it, other times this criticism becomes an abuse and an offense, and sometimes it tends to ironically mock his opponents.

This mechanism involves mocking the ideas of his rivals in a technical new path which will be showed in this article.
