The current paper focuses on 'Al-Hindiyya Grand School' since its foundation in (1270 A.

) as for its architecture, position, its academic impact inside and outside Karbala, and the role of its scholars, students and their academic heritage.

The paper directs attention to the curriculum and methods of teaching, which are not different from what is followed in 'Hawza' (The Islamic Seminary).

It also handles the following issues: the school library named 'Al-Jafariyya Library', one of the famous libraries in Karbala with all its academic and religious jurisprudence books and manuscripts; and its literary and cultural activities.

The paper also uncovers the destruction of the school, the circumstances of the destruction, and the reasons and motives behind that destruction.

It is worthy to be mentioned that the school was destructed in (1411 A.
