The current research aimed to identify the challenges facing social workers in dealing with the Coronavirus pandemic, and their suggestions to overcome these challenges. The research also presented a suggested program for generalist practice that helps in the process of overcoming these challenges. The research was based on the type of analytical descriptive studies, and the social survey method has been used. The required data were collected from a non-random sample of 90 social workers working in many fields of practicing the social work profession, By a questionnaire that was distributed by hand and at other times it was distributed in electronic form that was sent to them by the International Information Network (Internet)‎. Among the most important results of the research were the identification of the most important challenges, the most important of which are : problems of non-compliance with full and all-time commitment by clients in applying preventive precautionary measures. Also, a number of suggestions were presented to overcome these challenges, the most important of which is raising the professional capacity of social workers in persuading clients to adhere to the preventive precautionary measures. A suggested program had also been designed to meet the challenges of practicing the social work profession in the face of the Coronavirus epidemic.
