Abstract EN

Increasing amounts of electronic waste(e-wastes) which isgenerated by Small enterprises (SEs) in Thi-Qar provenance posenegative effects on the environment through improper recycling anddisposal techniques.

Consequently, the pressures on theseenterprises have been escalating.

Therefore, this research studieshow institutional pressures affect the adoption of environmentaldisposal of E-waste across them.

A research model has beendeveloped to link three components: coercive pressure, normativeinfluence, and mimicry, then exam their effect on adoptingenvironmental disposal of E-waste.

The model was validated usingdata collected from a field survey of (101) managers of smallenterprises in Thi-Qar province.

A questionnaire was developed tocollect data.

It contains five major variables, exemplifying bytwenty-one items.

Also, five dimensions‟ scalar is used for thepurpose of measuring, subjected to reliability and validity tests.

Thepartial least square(PLS) method was employed to analyze thesurvey answers.

The results show that normative, mimetic andcoercive pressures significantly drive environmental disposal of ewasteadoption respectively.

The analysis that normative pressure isthe most influential in the attitude towered adoption environmentaldisposal of e-waste, while the coercive pressures have had the mostsignificant effect on the continuance of usage of the-waste practice.

This research contributes to existing knowledge in the field of IT, regarding the decision maker's intention for the adoption andcontinued use of e-waste through the development of a theoreticalframework that identifies the key factors for the adoptionenvironmental disposal of electronic in Thi-Qar provenance posenegative effects on the environment through improper recycling anddisposal techniques.
