Abstract EN

This field study aimed to recognize the level ofpolitical participation among university students, also we will try to identify the motives and the deterrents of political participation of Algerian youngsters, and attempt to unvail the relationship between them and some sociodemograghic variables.

And to achieve this, a form has been distributed on a sample consisting of 82 male and female students ofAmar Thledji University, Laghouat.

The study has concluded that there is a rareness in the level of political participation among university students, either through elections or engagement in a political party.

The study also concluded that there is a relationship with statistical significance between the political participation of university students in Laghouat Province University and some sociodemographic variables.
