Many academic studies and recent research have shown that the media, whether private or public when practicing or media coverage of news related to the security aspect, or related specifically to terrorist operations of armed groups, has left many negative aspects, as the media's handling of the security event raises a lot of controversy especially since the press and the security services have an inevitable, interactive and critical relationship at the same time if it comes to the security event, the press as responsible for media coverage and the responsibility for reporting the news to the public and the security services as responsible for the confrontation by trying to surround the évent and not to disclose any information that might serve the terrorist parties, and the implications of that complex and interrelated relationship between the media and the security services mainly depend on the receiving audience.

This scientific study aims to try to highlight the role that media coverage of security news plays and the extent of its impact on the receiving audience, among those who see that this treatment is a free service to armed groups, given that this receiving audience is not necessarily all educated and conscious, and another opinion states that Media reporting of security events is a major and effective contribution to preventing and combating terrorism, another view believes the limited influence of traditional media on the public, due to the technological development taking place, the multiplicity of media and the transmission of information.
