درست الخواص الميكانيكية لسبيكة بوليميرية من البولي اثيلين واطئ الكثافة المقوى بأطيان الكائولنايت المحلية في الظروف الجوية الاعتيادية.

استخدمت دقائق من الأطيان بأقطار (360nm, 20um, and 125 um) لدراسة تأثير الحجم الحبيبي على خواص الشد الميكانيكي لذلك المركب و قد وجد تحسن ملحوظ في تلك الخواص خصوصا عند استخدام حجوم حبيبية أقل من الحجوم المايكروية و عند نسب إضافة للأطيان تبلغ 8 % من الوزن الكلي للسبيكة البوليميرية.

Abstract EN

The mechanical properties of kaolinite clay / low-density polyethylene (LDPE) composite have been studied at room temperature.

Three different particle sizes of kaolinite clay (360 nm, 20 um, and 125 um) were used in this study to investigate the effect of the filler particle size on the mechanical properties of LDPE.

Tensile tests were carried out and a good improvement of the composite mechanical properties was obtained compared to the parent polymer.

The test results showed a significant enhancement of the mechanical properties at low filler concentrations.

The maximum tensile strengths observed were around 8 % clay composition.
