هذه الدراسة هي دراسة مقارنة تهدف لدراسة العلاقة بين التعرض لغبار الطحين عند عمال المطاحن في البصرة و الإصابة بأمراض الحساسية.
في هذه الدراسة تم مقارنة العاملين الذين يتعرضون لغبار الطحين من ثلاث معامل لطحن الحبوب في البصرة، و قورنوا بعاملين من معملي الألبان و البيبسي كولا (الذين لا يتعرضون لغبار الطحين).
أظهرت الدراسة إن نسبة انتشار حالات الحساسية المتعلقة بالعمل مثلما ذكرت من قبل العاملين و المشخصة واسطة الباحث مختلفة بين المجموعة المتعرضة و المجموعة الضابطة و هذا الاختلاف معتد إحصائيا.
Abstract EN
A cross-sectional comparative study was carried out to study the prevalence of occupational allergic disorders among flour mill workers.
In this study the flour mill workers from three major flour mill industries in Basrah (study group) were compared to non-exposed group from dairy products and pepsi cola industries (comparative group).
The results showed that the prevalence of work-related allergic conditions as reported by workers and diagnosed by one of the investigators was significantly higher among the study group than that in the comparison group.
