Abstract EN

The paper presents the analysis of unsteady forces and their influence on the aerodynamics and motion of a wing-in-ground (WIG) effect craft.

Two-dimensional and three-dimensional aerodynamic models based on the potential flow are coupled with time domain simulations in the longitudinal plane.

A special attention is paid to the explanation of the dynamic ground effect on both the sink and pitching motions.

The influence of unsteady and quasi-steady forces on the dynamic ground effects and the craft motion is analyzed for different heights of flight.
