Abstract EN

Through this study the researcher is trying to diagnose the situation of distance eLearning platforms in Algerian higher education establishments.

For this, all the academic websites classified by Cybermetrics Lab (Webometric Ranking), numbering 101, were consulted; and website analysis tools were used in the collection of data for statistical analysis in order to answer the questions.

The results obtained show that there is a lack concerning the platforms of distance eLearning, from the point of view of installation (especially in higher schools), updating, securing and mobile optimization.

In the light of this study, the researcher emphasizes the need to install the recent version of Moodle on the website of each higher education institution or to update the platform already installed and to secure it to guarantee the continuity of higher education and the adoption of hybrid education (blended learning).
