Abstract EN

The present paper aims to emphasize the impact of University output on developing pharmaceutical industry in Algeria that includes both national industry and foreign direct investment.

It discusses also the interaction that may exist between the output and other surrounding variables to achieve such development.

To do so, an econometric model was built using time series analysis from 1992 to 2015.

The results argue that there is insignificant statistical relationship among the pharmaceutical industry and all explanatory variables and the university output too.
