Abstract EN

The research aims to determine the preference of two types of electronic discussion (controlled-free) in educational Google classrooms, in relation to develop knowledge and skills of educational technology students to design and develop digital stories.

The experimental design consisted of two independent variables: controlled e-discussion and free e-discussion in the Google educational classes, and two dependent variables, namely, the cognitive side and the skill side to design and develop digital stories.

The research tools consisted of achievement test and a product evaluation card.

The research sample consisted of 30 students who were divided into two equal groups according to two types of electronic discussions.

Each group consisted of (15) students.

The results pointed to the effectiveness of the use of electronic discussions in the form of controlled and free in Google educational classes in the development of students' knowledge to design and develop digital educational stories.

It also noted the advantage of using free discussions to develop the skills of designing and producing digital stories compared to controlled discussions
