Abstract EN

This research aims to determine the superiority of (textual – textual pictured) in the electronic platforms in terms of the development of the cognitive and skillful aspects of the design and development of personal digital libraries for students of educational technology.

This research was based on experimental design based on two groups.

The experimental design included an independent variable of two levels, the textual scaffolds and the textual pictured scaffolds in the social electronic platform "Edmodo".

In addition, this research contained two dependent variables, namely the cognitive aspect and the skillful side of the design and development of personal digital libraries.

The research sample consisted of 50 students who were divided into two groups according to the type of instructional scaffolds.

Each group consisted of (25) students.

Research's results indicated the effectiveness of the use of instruction scaffolds (textual – textual pictured) on the electronic platform on the development of the cognitive side.

However, this research pointed to the advantage of the use of textual pictured scaffolds in developing the skillful aspect of the design and development of personal digital libraries.
