The aim of the current research is to measure the effectiveness of using the literature circles strategy in teaching some literary texts to improve creative writing skills and increase the tendency towards reading literature among the first-grade secondary students.

research requires the preparation of research tools, as follows: the identification of the creative writing skills, the test of creative writing, and the measure or scale of the trend towards reading literature.

The experimental tools were: the Preparation of the teacher's guide and the student book, in the light of the strategy of the literature departments.

The experiment was then applied to a sample of students in the first grade of the secondary school.

The number of students was (137) students, divided into two experimental groups (70) students who studied the literary texts themselves in the usual way.

And a control group of (67) student; The semi-experimental approach has been used.

The results of the study indicated that the students of the experimental group compared to the students of the control group in the post-application to test the creative writing and the measure of the trend towards reading literature; in the first grade secondary students.

There is also a statistically significant difference between the average degrees of the students of the experimental group in the prior -application and the post-application of the creative writing test and the scale of the tendency towards reading the literature in favor of the post-application.
