Abstract EN

This study aimed at identifying the the effectiveness of a program based on the strategic reading approach to develop reading comprehension skills among the Arabic-speaking learners.

To achieve the objective of the study, the researcher undertook the following steps and procedures: - Reviewing the literature on the construction of Arabic language programs for non-Arabic speakers, the literature on the introduction of strategic reading to develop reading comprehension skills, and preparing a list of reading comprehension skills suitable for other Arabic-speaking learners at the advanced level.

- The program includes two modules in the Arabic language and aims to develop reading comprehension skills.

These skills are based on the definition of )CEFR( which includes three criteria: understanding the details of the readable text, understanding the readability of the text, understanding the evidence and arguments in the readable text.

The study group consisted of one group, which was tested on the basis of the test.
