Abstract EN

The present study aims to investigate and identify the correlation between the degree of acquiring the educational technology competencies and the teaching performance among the teachers of special education in the Southern Region, KSA.

To achieve its objectives, the study utilized the descriptive correlational design.

It covered a randomly selected sample of (92) teachers; (62) males and (30) females.

Results revealed that the degree of acquiring the educational technology competencies and the teaching performance of the teachers of special education in the Southern Region were high.

There were no statistically significant differences in the degree of acquiring the educational technology competencies among the teachers of special education due to gender and teaching experience.

Moreover, there were no statistically significant differences in the teaching performance of the teachers of special education due to gender and teaching experience.

There was a statistically significant correlation between the degree of acquiring the educational technology competencies and the teaching performance among the teachers of special education in the Southern Region, KSA.
