This study aimed to identify the problem of classification of science among Muslims by following the analytical method based on the analysis of literature and theoretical studies on the subject of classification of science, Islamic civilization and scientific research.

Taxonomy is one of the most important scientific investigations that flourished remarkably in the Islamic civilization.

It became shortly after the scientific movement started in the Arab-Islamic society.

To identify it, and the statement of its purposes, methods, and methods in the organization of knowledge and inventory of fields and collections, as well as routes arranged assets and branches and parts.

One of the most prominent findings of the study is that the Islamic methodology in the classification of sciences addresses the two types of knowledge: scientific and faith, and this is reflected in the adoption of Islam and its teachings as a way of life that is subject to laws and natural norms God has created to his creatures, and thus distinguish Islamic civilization in combining the physical and spiritual dimensions in a one system of civilization.
