Abstract EN
The current study is an attempt to find out the democratic trend in the reality of social upbringing for the Yemeni family and observe the influence of gender, residential place, parent education level and family revenue upon the respondents.
Considerable work has been done to achieve the purpose of study by using questionnaire tool.
In order to collect valid and reliable data about the social upbringing society, 375 students (male and female) were chosen randomly from the 9th grade of primary stage in municipality of the capital of Yemen.
On the basis of the primary data or responses collected from respondents, the current study revealed the lack of the democratic trend of the social upbringing for the Yemeni family, whereas the average value of mean measure for responses was below (2) as the predetermined average value.
On the other hand, the study proved the impact of variables upon the students' perception about the democratic trend's aspects within the social upbringing, whereas the democratic trend's aspects were appeared more among the educated family.
In addition the variable of residential place played a greater role among the urban family, and the revenue level variable played a significant role for the higher revenue level compared with the limited revenue level families.
Moreover; the male respondents were more aware about the democratic trend's values than female respondents.
In conclusion the study landed up by forming several recommendations and suggestions, mainly to activate the role of parents' board in schools in order to participate and contribute with the arrangements of particular courses and awareness brochures about the democratic trend within the family's frame, also to utilize the national occasions and mass media inside schools to make aware of the democracy's values and ethics.
Eventually, it is suggested to prepare studies about making the family members able to practice the democratic manner.
