Abstract EN

The aim of the study is to explore the level of quality in books of Physics at Secondary Stage from the Perspective of Physics Teachers in Aden Governorate.

The sample of the study consists of 114 teachers(male & female) with percentage of 90% from the original population .To achieve the aim, the researcher constructed a questionnaire that consists of 125 items dividing into six main standards: The technical outlet of the books, the objective ,the content, the activities, the drawings and figures and evaluation) as a tool of study.

After checking the reliability and validity and processing the data statistically, the researcher used medium and standard deviation and T –Test and F Test.

The study found out that the book of physics at the first secondary stage came at e first rank, with percentage (68.15%),them the book of physics at the second secondary stage, with percentage (62.29%) and the book of physics at the third secondary stage comes at the third rank, with percentage (61.17%).Therefore, the three books haven’t achieved the required level of quality which is(70 %).Also, the study showed that there are differences of statistically significance in the grades of the teachers of Physics related to the variable of sex (male& female) for the female teachers and that there are no differences of statistically significance in the grades of the teachers of Physics related to the variable of experience teachers.

The study recommended that the standards of quality should be taken into consideration in during the composition of books of Physics.
