Abstract EN

This paper provides a study of a branch of Isnād known as “the intricacies of Asānīd,” which are the rarities noted throughout the chains of transmission, as mentioned by Hadith scholars in their discussion of Hadith types or their explanation of their texts.

The study begins by introducing the intricacies, then it touches upon their earlier mentions in the writings of past scholars, and finally it organizes them into six main categories: 1st Category: Isnād that is not compliant with the usual chronological-hierarchical provision 2nd Category: Agreement of narrators who unanimously shared a similar attribute, known as Musalsal (in-chain narration).

3rd Category: One related to narration variations that indicate the manners of bearing responsibility of the Hadith narration.

4th Category: One related to ascending and descending chains.

5th Category: One pertaining to the authenticity of the hadith narration 6th Category: One that includes an intricacy in its narration The study unfolds the various kinds within each category, illustrated by examples, and then concludes with the findings as well as a bibliography of the works cited.
