This Study takes up the lengendary vocalist in greek literature to the 7^th century BC ears Through the Literary Sources.

Some literary sources refer the presence of vocalists before Homer and Hesiod, and they were known as lengendary vocalists; but we don't Know much about them except what was found in the myths and most famous of these vocalists: “Apollo, Orpheus and his brother Linus, Thamyris and Musaeus”.
