Abstract EN

The in-vitro work was designed to study the effects of different base formulations, fluorine containing glass-ionomer cement and zinc phosphate cement on the microbiology of infected dentin isolated from caries susceptible subjects.

The effect of study screened on the antibiogram of the isolated bacteria to a chosen group of antibiotics.

There is actual changes in the behaviors of isolate for the infected dentin samples and changes in differential bacterial counts of gram positive and gram negative organisms was registered.

It was found that there was great variation on the antibiotics inhibition zones before and after glass-ionomer treatment, the antibacterial effect of treatments was estimated using agar plates infected with mixed bacterial strains.
