Abstract EN

Polypropylene (PP) composites reinforced with multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) were prepared by using twin screw extruder.

The experimental results showed that with the increasing amount of MWNTs the elongation at break decreased whereas the tensile strength, bending strength, and impact strength increased.

By using scanning electron microscope (SEM), we find that the hydroxyl-modified carbon nanotube has better dispersion performance in PP and better mechanical properties.
