Abstract EN

The study aims to identify the level of empowerment and organizational commitment of educational leaders at the educational offices in Eastern province, and explore the relationship between the empowerment and organizational commitment.

Also, the study aims to identify the most powerful effect of the empowerment fields that affect the organizational commitment level.

The study has been applied to all superiors and their assistants (92) members of the education office associated to the department of education in the Eastern province.

The study used the descriptive methodology through a questionnaire developed for this purpose.

The results showed that the level of administrative empowerment at education offices in the Eastern province was high, and the level of organizational commitment of the educational leaders of these offices was also high.

Also the study results revealed a positive correlation at a level of 0.01 significant between the total scores of the empowerment scale, and the organizational commitment scale.

It also revealed that there is a positive effect of the collective work on the organizational commitment level.

The study recommended that it is important to support and promote educational leaders’ practices in the field of empowerment, and get their attention towards the indicators that showed mediate level of empowerment with focusing on promoting teamwork and developing job skills in a team spirit among the personnel of education offices, as they are the most important and influential in the areas of organizational commitment among the employees.
