Abstract EN

This study touches upon the concept of sustainable development as a strategic concept created by the human mind and employed to address all the forms of underdevelopment in its social, economic and cultural dimensions, in search of the highest form of human progress.

Researchers know that the concept of sustainable development has been used as a vital and historic response to a number of human problems and challenges related to the balance of the trilogy of man, nature and environment.

The concept of sustainable development is used today to provide a theoretical vision and a practical strategy to address the various economic and environmental challenges it counters.

Human society is a natural consequence of unjust development, which has led to problems of pollution, poverty, war, global warming, destruction of vegetation and damage to the biosphere, where development itself has become a threat to human beings and nature itself.

Within this perception, our present study deals with the problem of ambiguity in the concept of sustainable development, especially in its interrelationship with a pattern of frequent developmental concepts.

This approach covers the various developmental, sociological, historical and philosophical implications of the concept.

Finally, the study tries to answer a number of methodological questions about the nature of the concept, its origin, its function and its historical role in responding to contemporary issues and challenges.
