Abstract EN

This article aims to demonstrate the necessity of democracy for Arab societies in the philosophy of Al-Djabiri, through the revelation of the origins of political tyranny, and to explain its ideological foundations in its social, religious and philosophical manifestations.

Al-Djabiri is fully convinced that consciousness of the necessity of democracy in these societies inevitably requires passing through consciousness of the origins of political tyranny and its foundations.

During his criticism of Islamic political heritage - which is of great importance in his philosophical approach - Al-Djabiri aims to establish the Arab Renaissance project, where he chooses democracy as a modern and national necessity for the success of this project, as he explicitly declares he is biased towards it.

Therefore, his criticism of the Arab political mind is nothing but only a victory for it against tyranny in all its forms.
