This study aims to highlight the role of the International Law Commission in the development and codification of the rules of international law as a permanent secondary organ of the General Assembly, on the basis of the powers mentioned in the text of section 13 of the Charter, It shows its important contribution through international work and the establishment of an international legislative system that regulates many areas that govern international relations, despite the weak position of international law within the framework of the Charter of the United Nations.
