The international law recognizes the discretionary authority of states - Restricted authority- in regulating issues related to their nationality however, this recognition raises many questions from a legal and practical point of view, the authority of states to deprive their nationality because of the absence of a clear and stable international rules prohibiting deprivation of nationality.

In fact, some international conventions deprive citizenship if it's arbitrary, while other agreements prohibit him in a situation that leads to stateless nationality, and allowing some exceptions which permits states to take decisions what leads to deprive of her nationality, provided that fulfill a group of procedural and substantive guarantees.
