This research aims to shed light on one of the most critical operations stipulated by law, and which is carried out by the active accredited insurance companies in the national market.

It is the transfer of its contract portfolio, be it whole or partial, along with its rights and obligations to one or several other insurance companies.

Such a transfer is subject to specific procedures and results in myriad consequences, the most important of which is: the transfer of all the rights and obligations arising from insurance contracts encompassed in the portfolio.
