Thus, States have raised awareness of environmental problems into actual practices, namely conferences and conventions for effective action to protect the environment from pollution threats.

Algeria is one of the States that has placed environmental problems on its agenda.

Accordingly, through the creation of a number of environmentally specialized central bodies and the establishment of some relevant decrees and laws, the legislature has reduced the increase in environmental problems.

Moreover, the protection of the environment has expanded to the local level in order to reflect State policies.
