Abstract EN

The research aims to identifying the effect of using historical documents on the development of critical thinking skills among third grade students in the subject of history compared with conventional method.

The study consisted of (165) students, Distributors on four part Tested randomly on schools from Kirkuk education, the experimental groups consist of 81 student studied historical documents and the control group of (84) students studied in the way Traditional.

The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences (α = 0.05) between the experimental and control groups in the total critical thinking test due to the use of historical documents and for experimental groups.
