Iraq has historically had many important personalities worthy of study because of the roles that have emerged in all areas.

Perhaps the most prominent personality emerged on the Iraqi intellectual scene in the twentieth century is Hussein Al- Rahal, who played an important role in leading the elite of educated young people who have progressive ideas to demand the reform of the social, economic and political reality of the country in accordance with a realistic and progressive perspective that suits the spirit of the age and the developments the world is witnessing.

Hussein Al-Rahal is the first Iraqi to proclaim for socialism in Iraq and called for it and broadcast its idea after he read a lot about it and urged his friends and colleagues to read what was written about in Arab and foreign sources and was holding workshops for elaborated discussion.

He is considered the dynamic figure of socialist activity in the period (1920-1928).

He adopted Marxist ideas as a scientific movement against the commemoration of ancient ideas.

Al-Rahal had a prominent role in defending women's rights and demanding their liberation from the authority of outdated traditions and customs, believing that women represent half of society and the first teacher for humanity.

If she is neglected, the society would remain parlay sed.

The integrity and welfare of society are shown by educating women so that they can play a positive role side by side with men in the processes of construction, progress and development.

The "Magazine Newspaper" was the intellectual field of Hussein Al-Rahal and members of his socialist circle to demand the rights and freedom of women.
