The present study aimed at investigating the effect of using the cognitive modeling strategy on the development of deductive thinking in the fourth grade literary students in the subject of Quran and Islamic Education.

The experimental design (partially controlled) was selected for two equal groups (experimental and control).

The study was done in the District of Baiji / villages of Al- Butuma and Al-Hijaj village as a field of experiment.

The research sample consisted of (49) students, randomly distributed to an experimental group consisted of ( 23) students and a control group consisted of( 26) students.

They were taught in the traditional method.

For the validity of the study, the groups were equivalent in some variables that may have independent variable.

The scientific material of the research was defined as chapters ( third and fourth) from book of the subject of the Quran and Islamic Education scheduled for the fourth grade literary 2018-2019, and was identified (25) behavioral purposes, and the researcher prepared the teaching plans for the two groups.

The researcher prepared the necessary devices for research where he prepared a measure for the development of deductive thinking.

After the preparation of the research requirements, the researcher applied the experiment in the second semester of the academic year (2018-2019), the researcher has taught the selected groups himself, the end of the experiment and the application of tests and get the results, were treated statistically using statistical means, the results of research: a statistically significant difference for the experimental group.

Accordingly, the researcher concluded that the adoption of this strategy in teaching has a positive impact in the development of reasoning thinking in the fourth literary students, and in this light the researcher made a number of recommendations in addition to a number of proposals.
