This research focuses on two axes: the first is the idea of orientalism and its role in drawing a map of the civilizational interaction between the East and the West and the second axis on the book of Orientalism, which involves a systematic imbalance related to generalizations, most of which are based on selections from orientalist writings deals the easterners with aprofanation and inferiority.

They tend to be different in describing the East and the Orient.

Edward Said did not distinguish between the writings of the orientalists and those who wrote for the sake of derogation and who wrote a diagnosis of the imbalance that requires treatment.

He pointed out that the popularity of the book and the interest of it by the elite and the Western public is due primarily to the writer's scientific power and his skill in using the tools of argumentation, In a grand literary style keen to be in harmony with Western tastes, and to simulate their thinking.

Edward Said in this book was a writer committed to the performance of a social message rather than a critic in a literary issue requires the exchange of science to the contrary.
