Abstract EN

This research aims to compare Abu Amr Al-Dani with Ibn Tayfur Al-Sajawandi in relation to the topic of Selective Stopping in Quran (Al-Waqf Al-Mukhtar).

The researc h mentions the different categories of Stopping as given to us by each scholar mentioned above, enhanced by 30 different examples for each category.

The research opens with an introduction that entails the importance of the subject at hand, the reason of choosing it, a brief biography of Abu Amr Al-Dani followed by a brief summary of his book “Almuktafa”, and a brief biography of Ibn Tayfur Al-Sajawandi followed by a brief summary of his book “Ilal Al-Waqf”.

Afterwards, in the study section, the categories of Stoppin g are listed according to each scholar with an applied study to 30 different Quranic verses.

Finally, conclusions, results, and recommendations are given
