The present study analytically takes the role of the Iraqi geography concerning planning and development strategies depending on MA and PHD Studies debated at Baghdad university, College of Arts, apartment of geography according to the limited time, We could prove the second hypothesis of the research which insists upon the role of the Iraqi geographer in founding geographical bases as an end from which planning and development start, That geography adopts geographical experience and applied geographical research for developing life all over the world , the geography as a science gives the place the essential importance as a field for human activities and hat the spatial and social dimensions that involved it and it seeks to become a partner in managing of the place and work to change the hereditary organization of this field in order to improve and promote the various aspects of life and its conditions after showing the pitfalls which includes this organization and then prepared and qualified in a way that raises of its level as required the researcher determined the essential concepts that mentioned in this research considering that the results of research came with concepts indications with adopted then such as the science of geographical thought Development the strategy and Regional planning.
