Abstract EN

This study deals with a systematic study of the Islamic West present through the journey of the scholar and historian Abdul Basit bin Khalil bin Shaheen Al-Malati, who traveled between the near, Middle and Far Maghrib cities to Andalus.

The research focused on the political and economic situation of the Islamic West during the journey.

The study also focused on the most prominent geographical and urban observations mentioned in the journey.

The study also touched on the social and scientific aspects mentioned by the traveler.

And the reason for his choice of destination, and the analytical study dealt with the relationship of “Ibn Shaheen” symbols of power during his trip and his attitude to the scenes of innovations and myths that encountered, and the analytical study narrated the most important cities and stations in the life of “Ibn Shaheen”.

The research started with an introduction, a preface, and end with a conclusion, and a list of sources and references.
