Abstract EN

This research aimed at identifying child rights which should be available in the curricula of kindergarten teachers preparation from the viewpoint of staff members in the Faculty of Education at Damascus University according to the child rights groups under the Convention of united nations on the Rights of the Child (1989) (the child rights to survival, development, nurturing, protection, and participation).

A descriptive analytical approach was undertaken in this research.

The sample of the study consisted of (56) staff members who are still on their work.

A questionnaire including all the child rights groups was carried out on the sample.

The findings of the study showed that the child rights group to protection that should be provided in kindergarten curricula got the first rank from the viewpoints of staff members followed respectively by the child rights group to development, nurturing and survival, whereas the the child rights group to participation got the last rank.

There was no statistically significant mean scores difference between staff members' responses in the Faculty of Education at Damascus University according to (gender- years of experience- scientific level) variables, whereas statistically significant mean scores differences between staff members' responses were found according to specialty variable
