The researcher seeks to prove that the poem is coherent regardless the claims of lacking cohesion of the text.

The study also seeks to identify the textual traits in al-Bayyati poetry according to textual linguistics and its varied schools.

This study aims at clarifying elements of cohesion in this poem "the Village Market"; those elements which achieved textuallity and created a coherent poem on the semantic and linguistic levels.

The study investigates the descriptive and interpretive Adequacy of some textual and syntactic theories.

It also differentiates between the poetic text and the general text as for cohesion of the entire discourse rather than the lone sentence.
