Abstract EN

The purpose of study is to identify the role of the works of the Muslims of the People of the Book in correcting the image of the Prophet in the Scriptures, and to highlight, in particular, the book "Religion and the State" by Ali ibn Raban al-Tabari (was alive 247 Ah) as a comparative analytical model.

The study also shows that the book "Religion and the State" by Ali ibn Raban Al-Tabari is the leading model in the field of comparative religious studies, and the most important work in correcting the image of the Prophet in the Scriptures, in terms of the size of the texts cited by his author, and in terms of his explanations and interpretations addressed by those texts.

Finally, the study confirms that the texts that ibn Raban trusted in verifying the prophecy of the Prophet Muhammad, and correcting his image in the Scriptures are sufficient.

He depended, through his knowledge of the original Hebrew text - on at least 68 texts of the Bible (in his old and new testaments), including 7 texts that mentioned the name of the Prophet Muhammad, or his features, which we do not find in the current translations of the Bible.
