Approach to the Problematic of Origins of Rite Offering human sacrifices in the CarthaginiansOffering sacrifices in honor of the gods of the ancient rituals associated with worship in the various regions of the ancient world, as a common religious behaviour among other peoples who worshiped the gods, and tried to satisfy them by all means of offering sacrifices of various materials.

It has reached the point of offering human sacrifices that were not limited to a particular people, but were known to be an important spread among a number of ancient peoples in the eastern part of ancient North Africa, by the Carthaginians.

This article seeks to approach the subject by focusing on two issues: first, research on the signs of Carthaginian practice.

The archaeological data and the Greek and Latin texts indicate the practice of this religious rite through the latest archaeological research and the old texts as a contribution to shed light on one of the most controversial issues in Carthaginian history.

Views of ancient writers and contemporary were controversial.

Second, to address the problematic nature of the practice of this ritual in the eastern part of ancient North Africa, by providing the elements to answer the following questions: Is the convergence of children in Africa a purely Phoenician influence? Or is this practice rooted in ancient Libyan customs that coincided with an ancient Phoenician belief?
